1. Who we are

Praxis Media & Technology Limited, trading as Praxis Studios, is responsible for personal information collected through this website and our related enquiry, booking and communication channels. Our office is at 52 Ogunnusi Road, Ojodu Berger, Lagos, Nigeria.

2. Information we collect

When you contact us, request a quote, book equipment, register interest in training or schedule a meeting, we may collect your name, company, email address, telephone number, project details, preferred dates, location, equipment selections, budget range, messages and related correspondence.

We may also receive basic technical information such as IP address, device/browser information, requested pages, referral source and cookie or embedded-service data where server logs, analytics or third-party tools are active.

We do not intentionally request sensitive personal data through general website forms. Please avoid including confidential or sensitive information unless it is necessary and an appropriate secure method has been agreed.

3. How we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries, assess briefs, prepare quotations, check availability, administer bookings, provide services, deliver training information and maintain client communication.

Information may also be used to operate and secure the website, prevent abuse, keep business records, improve services, comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell personal information. Marketing messages will be based on consent or another lawful basis, and you may opt out of non-essential marketing communications.

4. Lawful bases

Depending on the interaction, processing may be necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, perform a contract, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate business and security interests, or act on your consent.

Where consent is the basis, it may be withdrawn. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal or information that must be retained under another lawful basis.

5. Bookings and communications

Rental and project requests may be stored in the Praxis portal and sent to authorized team members by email through configured SMTP services. Customer confirmation emails may contain the booking reference, dates, selected equipment and estimated subtotal.

Telephone, WhatsApp, email and meeting-scheduler communications may also be handled by the relevant communication provider. Their own privacy terms apply to their platforms.

6. Cookies and embedded services

The website may use essential session cookies for security and form submission. It also embeds or links to services such as Google Maps, YouTube, Vimeo, a meeting scheduler, social networks and web fonts. Those providers may receive technical information when their content loads or when you interact with it.

Video players on portfolio pages are designed to load only after you choose to play a video, reducing unnecessary third-party requests. Browser controls can be used to manage cookies, although disabling essential storage may affect forms or other functionality.

7. Advertising measurement

When a rental request originates from an advertising campaign, we may retain campaign parameters, referral details, IP address and browser information with the booking. After a booking is submitted, confirmed or first paid, limited contact data may be securely hashed and sent from our server to Meta to measure advertising performance. Payment amounts are not sent.

We do not load the Meta browser pixel or create Meta advertising cookies through this integration. You may object to advertising measurement by contacting us using the details below.

8. Sharing and processors

Information may be shared with authorized Praxis personnel and service providers that support hosting, email delivery, scheduling, communications, storage, analytics, advertising measurement, security, payments or project delivery.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to regulators or law-enforcement authorities, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a legitimate corporate transaction. Providers are expected to process information only for authorized purposes and with appropriate safeguards.

9. International transfers

Some technology providers may process or store information outside Nigeria. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and applicable data-protection requirements.

10. Retention and security

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including enquiries, contracts, bookings, accounting, dispute resolution, legal compliance and legitimate business records. Different categories may therefore have different retention periods.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. If you believe information has been compromised, contact us promptly.

11. Your rights

Subject to applicable law and relevant limitations, you may request information about processing, access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent and review of certain automated decisions.

You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. We may need to verify identity before completing a request and may retain information where law or overriding legitimate obligations require it.

12. Children

Our general business services and website forms are not directed to children. Training enquiries concerning a person under 18 should be made or authorized by a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that personal information was collected improperly from a child, we will take appropriate steps.
